Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Draughtsperson to join our Client’s Drawing Office team. The successful candidate will work within an established but growing team that interacts with every other aspect of the business to deliver detailed drawings, on time and to specification.

JOB ACTIVITIES

Liaise with other departments and derive the most cost effective method of manufacture, before commencement of draughting.
To produce detailed and arrangement drawings in a timely manner, in accordance with customer specifications.
Approval of sub-contract drawings.
Achieve or improve the deadlines established for each project.
Register and issue drawings in line with the company standards.
Ensure all draughting is carried out in accordance with the relevant British Standards and the current company standard.
Attendance at internal meetings, visits to site and to client as required.
Use measuring equipment to accurately record survey data.
Check own work and that of others as necessary to ensure accuracy of content and eliminate errors.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified to HNC standard or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
Competent user of 2D and 3D Computed Aided Design packages.
Ability to communicate technical subjects.

Desirable
Sheet metal and fabrication experience. Competent user of Solid Edge.
