Sales of The MagPi, the in-house magazine for the Raspberry Pi Foundation, have been rocketing since it decided to give away a Raspberry Pi Zero with each copy of the December 2015 issue, the first time a computer has been used in this way.

However, a team of engineers from Bradford University have collaborated with UK SME, Sofmat to create the first 3D integrated barcode, which could significantly help in the fight against counterfeit goods.
Starfish-killing robot to help save Great Barrier Reef
A team of scientists from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) have developed a robot to help decrease the population of crown-of-thorn starfish (COTS) which are damaging the Great Barrier Reef. The number of starfish has increased and it is estimated that they are responsible for around 40 per cent of the reef’s total decline in coral cover.
